LINCOLN PETTAWAY FREEDOM 5K

Join us on Wednesday, June 19th to walk, wog, jog, rollerblade, dance, hula hoop, and run the Freedom 5K on Chicago's beautiful Lakefront Trail. This 5K not only commemorates June 19th, 1865, the date when the last remaining African slaves were emancipated, but is also tribute to Lincoln Pettaway (Sho's dad) who passed away in March of 2021. Lincoln Pettaway was an activist, educator and historian who embodied the fight for justice and freedom for peoples of color throughout the world. Celebrate freedom, build unity, and honor the ancestors this Juneteenth with ShoMO Fitness.
